The condition of the product is an important aspect to consider when thrifting and we completely understand that. As such we strive towards presenting you the products as they are and not hiding anything.

Our condition guides are made solely to help you better understand the condition of the products you are looking forward to adding to your closet. Showing all angles and every detail of the product through product pictures is something we take very seriously. The condition metrics are set on scores out of 10 with 10/10 being the highest.

Thngz prides itself in its rigorous condition rating system. The goal being to provide better condition of products as compared to the competition while being affordable as compared to the competition as well. It won’t be wrong to suggest that a 8/10 rating on thngz promises greater quality than most of the competition’s 9/10 ratings.

Let us now explain how condition ratings are created. Please bear in mind that these rating guides do not perfectly resemble every product rating but are the closest metric still. Every product listing comes with a condition rating as well as a product specific guide explaining the rating as well.

Rating 10/10

Given to products in mint condition. This is the top tier and given the rigorous rating system thngz follows having 10/10 rating shows how much effort is put into procuring the best stock. Ratings from 9.5/10 onwards for example 9.8/10 also fall in this category

Rating 9.5/10

A 9.5 rating is also near perfect but is given to shoes where although the condition is immaculate you might se a crease or two. Now although considering the shoes are thrifted this much is to be expected and the condition of the shoes is still amazing but we at thngz value transparency with our customers and as such aim to show the products as they are. Ratings above 9 to 9.5 also fall in this category

Rating 9/10

This rating is gives to once again perfect condition shoes showing barely any signs of wear and tear, however creases or slightly yellowed soles due to oxidization are sometimes visible thus rendering these products a 9/10 rating

Rating 8.5/10

An 8.5 rating product shows minimal signs of wear and tear. These products look amazing , have brilliant condition, however the lower rating is due to the fact that there might be a singular instance where wear and tear is slightly noticeable. This may be a slight fade on the heel or toe area or signs of wear on the sole with traces and lines. Rating 8/10

Similar products as an 8.5 rating however, wear and tear is more apparent and slight signs of noticeable wear and tear like very slight decolorization, cracks on the sole are visible. At the same time the products look amazing and aside from such small signs of wear and tear the overall condition is great.
